@honeywell – David Cote – Why is Honeywell ignoring a gold mine? We will need face-coverings to protect us against

Why is Honeywell ignoring a gold mine?

We will need face-coverings to protect us against COVID-19 for years after a vaccine is developed: Honeywell used to sell (and probably still has the rights to manufacture) respirators that are vastly superior in every imaginable way to every mask on the market today in protecting consumers and employees against infection by the general public. Why isn’t Honeywell promoting those respirators?

In addition, with one trivial change that I am willing to give Honeywell the rights to for free, these respirators are also vastly superior in every imaginable way to every mask on the market in protecting people around the wearer against infection by the wearer. (The change I propose is a filter added to capture virus exhaled by the wearer.)

The respirator I am thinking of is the North 7700 with P100 inhalation filter cartridges and a filter attached to the outside of the exhalation port that my wife made from a disposable N95 mask. (I have been trying to get my friends to wear one of these and that would be vastly easier if you were promoting them and selling them at a reasonable price.)

Thank you,
Ned Kennington
