Guadalupe sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation that said:
I am a 78-year old widow and have had to go back to work. My late husband and I owned Toyota trucks and after his death in 2004, I decided to purchase a brand new 2008 Toyota Corolla. This kid on his way to take an exam at UTSA (live closeby) totaled my car, so I purchased a 2007 Toyota Corolla with very low mileage. I have been so proud of my car, keep maintenance up, keep it clean; however, it looks horrible because the paint is wearing off and I was told by your Customer Relations department it is wear and tear. My friend had a 1977 Toyota Corolla and the paint looked intact. My daughter has a 2004 Acura and her paint looks great. To be honest, I feel bad when my friends see my car...looks ancient and it is only 8 years old. If I were the manufacturer of this car, I would feel bad about it...not good advertisement! I was going to send you pictures but don't know how to attach them to this email.
