Allison sent a message to Peter Agne President and CEO, IKEA that said:
I am a loyal customer of Ikea, at least I was one until my bad experience I had today. I took a lamp in to be returned. i read the receipt and it stated I had 90 days to return the lamp. The employee said it stated I could not return anything that was from the AS IS section. I did not see this on the back of the receipt or I would not have tried to return the lamp. I repeatedly asked for the manager and she finally got him for me. He said it was clearly stated on many signs in the as is dept. that I could not return my lamp from as is. I walked over to the dept to see all the signs he mentioned. I found one and it was tucked way back in a corner. I drove 30 miles round trip, wasted gas and my time. I at least expected a store credit.I would appreciate it if someone would contact me concerning this matter. I love your store and I have most of my furnished most of my home with your product. i would hate to stop shopping at Ikea because of poor customer service. Feel free to contact me, preferably after 6PM in the evening.
