I am a Special Olympic Golf Coach with 35 very special participants who live with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Intellectual Disabilities that find real pleasure in the game of golf, but consider the following they play with old donated equipment that present additional challenges to our athletes...worn grips, clubs that are the wrong size, old gloves...etc.
Our request here was very specific... We would appreciate any and all help that Golf Galaxy could provide to have our golfers properly equipped and ready to learn to play the game.
All golfers reside within 10 miles of the San Diego, Carmel Mountain Store. We could make this a one day publicized event featuring Golf Galaxy reaching out and helping the local community.
You would make a life changing contribution to 35 athletes that know more about handicap than any golfer.
We are a Local Chapter of the Special Olympics that resides within the Golf Galaxy community. Your participation and assistance with our program would be endearing to all San Diego residents.
So why am I e-mailing you?
I have requested through your websites to re-grip some or all players clubs what ever support would help... twice at Golf Galaxy and once at Dicks
We have been electronically turned down 3 times stating the timing of this event does not allow for proper resourcing.
These players can wait as long as you would like them to wait...their handicaps will be with them their entire life... we were simply asking for some heartfelt ...sincere help.
