Justin sent a message to Hiroyuki Yanagi – President and Chief Executive Officer of Yamaha email address that said:
I am contacting you to request a small contribution for the family of Vincent Scott Reid (30 years young). He and his best friend (his son Braiden) were constantly attending different events together as they came along. On the morning of April 23rd Vincent Reid and his four year old son were on a ride to go up to the mountains. As Mr. Reid was traveling down the left hand lane near 42nd and baseline road (Phoenix, Arizona) a dump truck abruptly slowed before swerving into the left hand lane prior to making a right hand turn. Vincent tried to evade the truck, but inevitably struck the back of the dump truck ejecting him and his son from the motorcycle. His son was wearing a helmet and only sustained minor injuries. Unfortunately he was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. This tragedy has stuck very hard with me as he was a really good friend of mine. He brought smiles to all who knew him. I hope to help his family in order to secure their well-being as well as setting up a potential future college fund for his son Braiden and daughter Brianna. On the morning of June 4th a benefit will be held in Vincents name in order to raise money for his surviving family. I am humbly requesting a small sponsorship from you in order to boost our efforts.
