I am sorry for sending this to you, I know you are much to busy to worry about 1 persons concern but I tried to send this through the website but it constantly said it timed out and it was open maybe a minute so there is an issue with the website as well. In looking at the online reviews of the West Jordan UT store it appears that there is an issue with returning items and managers all the way around. Here is my story;
I have shopped at TJ Maxx for over 6 years now. Until today I have never been unsatisfied and along with that I have never had to return anything for more than a size swap. I bought a pair of mens cargo shorts for myself. I wore them to work once and got a stain on the butt and treated them, washed them but the stain was still there. I noticed the stain rubbed out so I grabbed a tooth bush and the stain came right out. In doing this it put a hole in the shorts. I went to the West Jordan store and I was told no because I wore them and I didnt buy them that way. The manager went on to say how the fabric was thick and I said exactly a toothbrush shouldnt have put a hole in the fabric. I felt she was accusing me of putting the hole in the pants by scrubbing to hard. Actually after the cashier finished talking to her through the radio, she said no because we dont know how hard you scrubbed! For petes sake I used a toothbrush, not a wire brush! I told her I know I am one person but I will never shop at TJ Maxx again and she just stood there. I am so disappointed that the first and only time I try and return something I am accused of damaging the shorts and told no. Its obvious that the fabric is flawed as a toothbrush should not have put a hole in the fabric. I wanted to let you know as there should be some middle ground. I would have taken store credit even but to be told no because I didnt buy them that way and I wore them once is a sad excuse. Sometimes you wear something and then the flaw becomes visible as we all know you dont see everything about an item in a store. I am greatly disappointed as I have enjoyed shopping at TJ Maxx and the deals I have found there over the years, but if I buy something and discover a flaw or something happens in the wash like they shrank more than it should of then its not a good deal if I cant return or exchange the item in the store.
Thank you
