I am the owner of a 2008 Ford Explorer, with 89000 miles on it. I have never towed anything with it and have always done all scheduled maintenance. However I am having transmission issues,specifically the third to fourth shift. In doing my research I have found this is a common problem. As many as one in ten seem to have this problem, I have read. Is Ford doing anything to address this problem? I am a loyal Ford buyer. My first was a 1994 Explorer with 250000 miles and loved it,so reliable. So we bought another, but now we are faced with a possible $3000 repair.
