Debra sent a message to David P. Steiner – President and Chief Executive Officer of Waste Management, Inc. – Email Address that said:
I am writing not to cause anyone a problem but to question a bill situation.
On Today I contacted the office to pay my bill. I paid the bill and noticed a gentleman removing my receptacle from the front. I called to let them know bill was paid. And to my surprise I was told that my service was canceled in March, my bill was dated April to June billing period with a due date of May 30, 2016. No where did the notice indicate that the service had ended, so how would I know.......
When I spoke to the representative she indicated that I needed to pay $40.00 to get my service resumed but she charged my account $90.00 when asked why this amount she stated she said the $50.00 also. My suggestion indicate total amount that will be withdrawn, not one amount verbally and another amount non verbally.
I am a senior citizen so every penny is accounted for. Also, I never received a service stoppage notice, and my service never stopped and cans weren't picked up from a March 17, 2016 stoppage until May 17, 2016. Very confused and upset.
The only reason I am e-mailing you is just to put it out there that it's a problem somewhere.
Thank You for your time and consideration to this matter.
Sincerely,
Debra
