I am writing this letter hoping it will be readc by someone who has a heart.. I lost my father and i need to Travel to Jamaica for the funeral. i was a loyal Jet Blue customer until tonight. I called customer service inquiring about a bereavement rate. I explained that i lost my father and had to travel with my children. I received no compassion, no acknowledgement regarding my loss. I was also told i did not qualify for rate as i need to book 7 days before travel. I explained that when there is a death in Jamaica (third world country) it can take up to three weeks for burial. I am a true blue member and have been traveling with your airlines long before your points system. I am a single parent and the longer i wait, the price will increase. This has been a very stressful process and i just figured someone would have a heart but apparently, no one does. I am honestly thinking of sharing this on all social media sites until my story goes viral. It seems no one has a heart.Something needs to be done!
