I am writing to inform you I have experienced nothing but hassles and delays from your company to receive payment from my LTD that I purchased and have maintained payments regularly since 2009.
On April 13, 2016 I submitted an application to my employer confidentially for LTD with their assurance I would qualify due to annual and sick leave exhaustion, disc herniation (incapacitating injury) diagnosis from my physician.
Martin Drysdale, is my current assigned claim
adjuster. Mr. Drysdale initially stated my claim's effective date was 6/8/16. I contacted Mr. Drysdale daily for the status of my claim to determine additional time was needed to prolong my benefits owed to me.
On 6/8/16 Pam Lundon, RN faxed my physician restriction clarification forms. I called Ms. Lundon on 6/9/16 for the status of the forms. Ms. Lundon stated, the forms were incomplete, I retrieved a copy of the forms to discover Ms. Lundon was very dishonest about the incompleteness of my physician response to her questionnaire, My physician chose option #4 (hand written response) which states: If no activity level was selected above, please provide an explanation below with medical findings and current diagnostic results to support your opinion and recommendations, including rationale to help us better understand the discrepancy between your restrictions and your patients current objective exam findings. we will conclude there are no additional restrictions on function unless specified.
Unknowly, Ms.Lundon forwarded my medical records to an outside independent physician to review and stated I may receive an answer on my claim or before 7/5/16. AGAIN, additional time was needed to prolong my benefits owed to me.
I researched the Consumer Affairs website and found over 222 complaints from former Hartford claimants warning consumers of the following: The Hartford is a ripoff. They have no morals or concern about you being out of work. They lie countless times. They ask for documents and say it's not what they need. "More detail" they say. The more you send the more they need and it's never enough. Endless...
