Susan sent a message to Jeff M. Fettig – Chairman and CEO of Whirlpool Corporation – Email Address that said:
I am writing to you because for the second time I will have to replace the exposed water valve and icemaker inlet tube on my young, 4 year old refrigerator. I think this should be redesigned. The tubing expands and contracts when the icemaker fills and the bulb valve (sits on the top, outside of the fridge) begins to dislodge. This is very attractive to my cat who then plays with the tubing leading to minor leaks on top of the fridge. This time, the rubber screwed in "bulb" thing was dislodged. Last time I paid $292 to a Whirlpool authorized repair service (on 23 Jan 2015). I live in GA and continue to buy Whirlpool products because I believe in this company. Thank you. Sincerely, Susan
