I am writing to you with serious concerns over the behaviour of some passengers on – Michael OLeary email address

Elena sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:

I am writing to you with serious concerns over the behaviour of some passengers on my recent flight to Tenerife (South).
I flew on 9th Sept from Edinburgh at 13:40
Throughout the entire journey the passenger in seat number 20 C was served alcohol by the flight crew. He was loud, he was shouting and he continuously used foul language. He particularly like to use the words F**K, F***ING and C**T very loudly for every other word which after 4.5 hrs was extremely aggravating. His behaviour and that of passengers further back on the plane became increasingly rowdy shouting and swearing back and forth to each other. The flight attendants were asked to deal with the situation but did nothing and even continued to serve them alcohol. They were never spoken to about their behaviour despite children being on this flight. I was accompanied by a friend and her 14 year old son who has a learning disability and he required on going reassurance throughout the flight as he was frightened by the shouting and swearing.
This farce of a flight became more distressing when the pilot tried to land the plane as one of the male passengers sitting further back the plane got up out of his seat. This resulted in the pilot quickly diverting the plane taking it back up into the air. This meant we then had to circle until the person got back in their seat before the pilot was able to land again.
At no point did any flight attendants talk to this person and it was left to other passengers to try to sort this situation. People were distressed at the sudden change of direction of the plane and other people were just plan angry as people had just had enough by this time. There was chaos on the plane with people shouting.
The person to my left then started shouting ‘what it is (referring to the attitude of other passengers) I’ve f***ing paid the same for my f***ing flight as all these c***s. I’ve f***ing done f**k all wrong. He repeated this continuously until I had to tell him to ‘shut up’ myself’ which of course he took no notice of.
While I am sure you are aware of the latest incident and the wait for police to come to detain this person I find it unbelievable that the passenger to my left whose behaviour throughout the flight was equally disruptive was not reprimanded in any way. If the other passenger had not stood up then they would all have ended their flight quite happily and gone on their merry way without any concern for other people and the disruption they caused.
I do not feel that after this experience that I would trust Ryan Air again as I feel that by condoning this behaviour and by not limiting the alcohol intake of passengers then impacts on my safety. They would have been thrown out a pub for that behaviour and on a plane they were not even given a word of caution. I have never complained to any company before however in this case I consider my safety and that of other passengers was a risk.
