I am writing today to ask for help buying a home. I am a single Mom, I have had custody of my nephew since he was one, and he is almost 5. A very long story short, my sister had a baby and decided she didn't want to be a Mom. I didn't think, I just said yes. It has been the best and hardest time of my life. I work a full time job and do some side work to try and make things end meet but they never do. I know that there are people more deserving of handouts, but I am trying to provide a safe home for me and my William.

I live in an apartment that is $900 a month with no utilities included. I looked into getting a smaller apartment, a one bedroom or a studio, just to have money to not be worried about money every minute of the day. I looked into mobile homes and I found a beautiful 2 bedroom with amenities in Pepperell for $50,000. Most banks wont loan for a mobile home and want cash for them. It's almost impossible to save money when you work paycheck to paycheck

There are so many reasons why you might not want to give a total stranger $50,000 for a home. But what you would be giving me and my son a place to call home that I wouldn't have to move from. I would never stop working-this isn't about that. I would never be able to stop working- I wouldn't want to and I will always have bills to pay. But to have a safe place for us is worth begging for.

Thank you for your time.

MIchelle
