John Shaffer sent a message to Edward W. Stack Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dicks Sporting Goods Email Address that said:
I am writing you this email regarding the discount offers Dicks Sporting Goods sends to their customers. I receive multiple offers from your store with bogus discounts that hardly apply to any merchandise in your store. On multiple occasions, I have attempted to use the coupon and it never ever applies. For example, I tried to purchase a Yeti cup with a $10 off card and it did not apply. Nowhere on the coupon does it list the exemption nor does it on the website. Very frustrating. I am so frustrated about this bait and switch technique that I may return my treadmill purchase just on principal. This is horrible business and seems to go against any sort of business ethics. I will no long shop at Dicks in the future for this reason. I will go to Academy Sports where they honor their coupons and I will let others know of the sketchy tactics of Dicks sporting goods.
