I booked a trip with Amtrak. E ticket and spoke to a gentleman named Germaine. I called because I did not know what the price differences meant. He explained if I went in the middle range, not the lowest, I would be able to cancel my trip with a 10% penalty. I went this route because I was not sure I would be able to go with my work situation. As it turns out, I can't go on Amtrak because, as I feared, my work situation will not allow me to take the time needed for the trip. I called to cancel my trip and was told I would get $300.00 refund and $229.50 voucher, which I will never use. This is NOT what I agreed to with Germaine. I was prepared to take the 10% penalty but I am being penalized even more. I waited on the phone for over an hour and finally got a case
