Debbie sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison – President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
I bought a washing machine from jcpenney.com. It broke after 10 days. When I tried to get someone to come repair it, I got tossed from one agent to another. In the meantime I had to make 2 trips to the laundromat. When the repair tech came out, rather than call, he just showed up at my house. I decided to just return the washer. He said he couldn't do that that day, despit the big truck he was driving. He said someone would call me. They didn't.
Then I tried to call the returns line 4 times, The first time I hung up after 30 minutes. The second time after 20 minutes, Carmelita answered and when I told her I wanted to return the washer, she told me to hold on. The next thing I knew I was back in the queue, listening to the music. The 3rd and 4th time I was just disconnected after waiting 20 minutes amd 12 minutes.
Then I tried the chat option. Kammeryn gave me the number for the major appliance line and asked if there was anything else. You know maybe I don't want to call another phone number and wait again. Maybe I would like someone to take action and do something simple: Schedule a pickup for the washer and refund my money.
Can you just take back my washer and refund my card? I need the money back asap for Christmas.
I work in a call center and I listen to people ranting and raving and cursing to get their $2.84 cent refunded. We have to act right then and there. We can't put them back in queue or disconnect. I am polite and cooperative, but this is over $350.
