I can't speak for other areas of the country but your store in southern New Jersey are so poorly managed, the ones that closed, looked like they were closed three years before they closed.
Your store in Blackwood, New Jersey, is soo poorly run the it is a disgrace. Whoever does the hiring should be fired. You have the nastiest, indignant, callous sales people I've ever encountered.
I would shop there more but the checkout time is ridiculous. The garden center may as well be closed. I used to shop there all the time, it is now a disaster.
I think Kmart has good products but I would shop online before going into the Blackwood store. These sentiments are share by many in our area. If you don't think we talk among our friends and neighbors about what happened to out local destination store, then you are very wrong.
I would like to see this store saved but you need to get someone who is capable and caring to change attitude of the store employees and the customers who shop there. Get competent checkout employees and have enough lanes open that there is not a constant long wait to get out. Maybe a few quick checkout lanes for up to five items. You can't stop by there at lunch time or anytime and just pickup a few items and get out quickly.
I hope you will have someone look into this. I have been a fan of Kmart for many years but like so many of my neighbors and friends, we are deterred from going there due to the store operation,.
Also, whoever does the store layout there should be fired. They turned a nice store into a junk yard look. Even the dollars stores are neater, cleaner and better laid out.
I wish you luck in your endeavors and hope that you can start your turnaround with your Blackwood store. FYI-Your Deptford store was in a great location and your company let it go the same way as Blackwood, actually worse, now it's gone.
