I commend you on your decision to take action in the wake of the Parkland tragedy. I am/was a Rewards Member and your establishment has been a respected retailer for a myriad of my sporting needs.
I will no longer patronize your establishment based on your recently decided path of action based on its contradictory nature.
I understand an establishment can refuse to serve anyone, yet anyone under 21 (law enforcement cadets to armed forces) willing to give their life for our liberties was not exempted from your ban to purchase rifles. Also, there was no consideration given to youth sporting champions or participants and those seeking collegiate scholarships based on shooting skills.
As a retailer, you realize more than the uninformed public that a semi-automatic rifle does not perform differently based on cosmetic features yet you ban "assault style" rifles. You must also be aware that a reload takes a couple of seconds (negating the effectiveness of a ban of high capacity magazines).
Your efforts and influence would have been better served by reaching out to politicians to enforce the reporting of mentally troubled individuals to NICS (or at the very least to firearms retailers) and prosecution of adjudicated gun offenders.
