Srinivas sent a message to W. Craig Jelinek President and Chief Executive Officer of Costco Wholesale Corporation email address that said:
I faced one of the worst customer experience at Costco today in front my family with two teen boys. I wish no one to get the treatment meeted out by your store in Naperville,IL .
I just recently joined Costco after 8 year hiatus. I cancelled my membership in 2008 as i was not getting value for my money from the membership with the huge bulk quantities. Now, when i was re joining after 8 years, your membership desk noted about the previous cancellation and gladly welcomed me back as a returning customer.
After joining one month back, i was going to Costco first time , my card was blocked at the counter . Now, a manager comes and takes my card and comes back after all billing is done and tells in front of my family , that i cancelled previously and Costco will not allow cancellation of my membership next time . This is very bad management practice by you naperville store on 3/14/2016 at 7 pm.
What is your policy of membership cancellation, - cancel anytime if you don't like.. Isn't it ? Then why this manger tells me this after taking me as member and that too in front my family. How embarrassing it should be.
I thought immediately that these incidents should be reported to CEO office and i am expecting to hear from your office or some local Illinois leaders. To erase any doubts of me having about Costco customer service .
