Sandra sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison- the President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
I have a major complaint, I plan to contact an attorney and file a lawsuit against the State Street Bank financial institution, as well as JC Penney, if my problem is not recognized, addressed and corrected ASAP. I am a retiree of JC Penney, and opted for the lump sum rollover back several months ago. I filled out my form and received a confirmation of my directive. I opted to roll over the entire sum to an IRA, and not needing to pay taxes. I also designated that the check be made out to JP Morgan Chase for the benefit of myself, Sandra Mazza. The first check I received was made out entirely incorrectly, made out to me personally, and the taxes withheld. I called the Powerline, and had them stop payment on the check and explained the problem. They assured me it would be corrected, a new check issued in the correct form and for the correct amount. The first check was made out on Nov. 3rd, and the second one was made out on Nov. 19th and once again it was incorrect. This time the second check was made out to JP Morgan Chase for the Benefit of Sandra Mazza, but once again taxes were withheld making the check out in the incorrect amount. I was again reassured that another check would be issued and sent within 7-10 business days, and once again I had to call to find out the status of the check and if it had been mailed. To my dismay after being told it had been investigated and the new check was coming, I am once again being told they are looking into it. I have had now no pension check sent to me on Nov. 1st or Dec. 1st, and no lump sum payment sent either. I have lost two months interest on my money thus far. It seems that State Street Bank has very incompetent people working for them that they cannot follow simple paperwork with a declaration, and to make the same mistake twice is really poor service. As a former Training Supervisor with our emphasis on Costumer Service as our #1 priority, and I find most distressing to be put through this mental anguish for two months now. I have a seriously ill husband, and son and surely you can understand that I don't need additional stress. I would ask that you get to the bottom of this mess and get it rectified ASAP. I want the correct check issued immediately and I want it sent to me OVERNIGHT MAIL. I also will file a complain with the Commissioner of Insurance and Banking so they know that this bank continues to make the errors and is refusing to pay me the interest I've lost for the past two months on my money. I am asking you to personally look into these two mistakes and see that I have a corrected check for my lump sum rollover and that I am paid the interest that I have lost. I want this check issued immediately, and I want it sent overnight mail. Thank you so much. Sincerely, Sandra
