I have been banking with Citizens Bank for many years. I have always been satisfied – Saun Bruce W Van email address

Dear Mr. Van Saun sent a message to Saun Bruce W Van - Chief Executive Officer, Citizens Bank RBS Citizens - Email Address that said:

I have been banking with Citizens Bank for many years. I have always been satisfied with the service provided until recently. I always do my banking at the Providence branch located at 700 Hartford Avenue.

Last month (January) I made an appointment to have 89 U.S. Savings Bonds cashed in. I did wait at the branch for 2 hours and 30 minutes while the employee processed these bonds. I did not have a problem with the amount of time that I waited for these bonds to be processed. I could not leave the bank as the person processing these bonds needed my drivers license. The young woman that processed the bonds was very professional and courteous and I thanked her for her effort as it was a time consuming and tedious job.

The problem that I am having is that a $2,300 error was made while processing these bonds. The bonds were processed the week of January 16th and a week later I received six letters from Adjustment Services stating that there was an overpayment paid to my checking account as a result of these bonds. Yesterday I received another letter stating that there was a double payment made to my checking account. I am very, very concerned as I do not know how much more money will be debited to my account.
I am very dissatisfied with Citizens Bank at this point. My accountant, financial advisor, and attorney cannot believe there has been error of this magnitude.

This is not good business. I will discontinue banking at this branch. In fact, I am considering a change as to where I will do my banking in the future.

I feel it is very important for you to know what has transpired.

Sincerely,
Paula Pullano
