I have been shopping at jc penney since Im 20 years old. Im 61.i would like to say how i like some of the improvements you made to the store. The womens merchandise is so much better than it was several years ago. Its stylish, pretty and younger styles. Im glad to see more Liz Claiborne, worthington and Ana. Brands like these will keep JCPenney in business. They are made for women, not juniors. I love your bedding displays and towel department, although the towels are a bit too expensive unless 40% off. The bedding prices are decent.
I would like to make some suggestions. I got rid of my JCPenny charge card after 30 years because the interest rate got out of hand. That interest rate makes alot of women go shopping elsewhere. Lower the rate.
The dressing rooms at the ocean county mall need to be done over. The back of the doors are dirty and the wallpaper is peeling off. They are old. I dont understand why they werent done when the store was revamped several years ago.
The cheap vinyl handbags do not live up to the quality that the store use to carry. Bring inbetter bags.
The ladies shoe department is disappointing because they use to carry alot of good brand names and now there is less. Bring some of the better brands that DSW carries and double the size of the department. Women love a great shoe department!
Last, but not least, i hate the fact that i have to pay for shipping to the store. If im using my gas to get there,i shouldnt have to pay for something under $25 shipped to the store. Macys, kohls, walmart, target, and many many more stores do not charge to ship to the store. Its the small charges that women hate. We also hate that we have to go to the top floor to pick these items up.it was always on the bottom floor.
Many years ago we had a nice little restaurant in the store. It was a great way to spend the afternoon shopping. Think about bringing it back. It would be a great idea to have a small dessert shop for coffee and cake. It would be a big hit.
I hope these ideas will be considered.
