I have been with Progressive for better than a dozen years and never, ever have I been treated and lied to by one of your representatives (Judy). It seems that although trying to pay (in full) my policy - two weeks early I might add, I discovered that your site doesn't seem to be linking to Pay Pal. I have resigned myself to the fact that you don't accept American Express (I guess because the fees are too high) but when I tried to pay through Pay Pal on Friday night - there was a problem on Progressive's part...not Pay Pal's part. When I told Judy and suggested she contact your IT department or switch me over to them, I was met with somewhat opposition. Ultimately she put me on hold and came back and told me they would call me back that night. I sat by the phone Friday night, all day Saturday, all day Sunday, and now today waiting for a call back. I did speak to a Cindy at 9:30am today Monday and she said that there was a call to IT on Friday and she had Judy on the phone waiting for a response. I tried your site again and lo and behold Pay Pal is no longer an option to pay. It sickens me that although I always pay my bills in advance, that I now have to stand on my head to get someone to pay attention to what I am saying. Clearly I am not the only person forced to use Pay Pal to make payment. Why was this the first that Progressive has heard of such a problem. I am not about to apply for an additional credit card in order to satisfy Progressive when my Amex has served me very well for the past 30 years. Since mostly everyone in the world uses online banking, I no longer use checks. I have a Progressive bill that needs paying by January 27, 2016. What do you suggest - and please, spare me the "pat" apology.
Just have one of your clowns fix the link to Pay Pal.
