Steven sent a message to W. Craig Jelinek – President and Chief Executive Officer of Costco Wholesale Corporation email address that said:
I have yet to receive my new costco cards and it is now 6/22. Leading up to the transfer date of 6/20, I called three times, each time the the agent on the phone from Citi state that I should wait until the 20th and see if I get my cards. When I called the day before, they stated that they couldn't expedite my cards because "they did not have the customers information yet", but still they were able to send everyone else cards. So then I called on 6/20 in the evening and stated what had happened, and Citi stated that they would overnight my cards to me and they would email me a tracking number. It is now two days later(6/22) , and I have neither. I am writing this as I am waiting on hold again to speak to someone.
Update: Just got off the phone with customer service at Citi (on hold for 25 minutes), to find out that there was an error with the how the cards were in the system, and that he would have to re-expedite my cards. The previous person to this call said I would be emailed a tracking number. But according to this person I just talked with, they cannot email a tracking number. And that the only way to get my “new” card tracking information would be to call again within 24. (another 25 minutes of my life I won’t get back). Now, I should receive my cards on friday (6/24). Costco’s transition between Amex and Visa was announced in mid-February. All parties involved had 4 months to plan for this, yet there are all these problems. At this point, I am beginning to get frustrated and truly disappointed.
