Vern Steigleder sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison - President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
I just finished writing an email to the manager of the Eugene Oregon store to complain about the lack of service in the appliance department. I have been in twice to look at kitchen appliances and have spent at least half an hour on each occasion. Not once have I even seen a sales person, whats more have one ask me if they could help me. The real irony was that when I tried to send the message I got a note saying that the message service was not working now and I should write back at a later time. I need not tell you that competition in this market will not tolerate this kind of service.
