Christine sent a message to Brian C. Cornell Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Target Corporation that said:
I just needed to express the disappointment in the way the Lilly Pulitzer sale on Sunday April 19th was handled by Target. I arrived at 8am and at approx. 8:10am everything was ripped from the racks from women who cared nothing more than getting as much as they could so they can sell it at an inflated price on eBay and other resale websites. Women were lined up at 7am apparently. They were stealing from each others carts and some women had 2 carts spilling over with more than anyone could possibly need. I left with nothing. Even your website was completely sold out. There really should be a limit that any one person can purchase when you have designer sales like this one. I was so disappointed and disgusted because you advertised this sale for a month or more and then didnt have enough merchandise to even restock the shelves. Next time consider having enough merchandise and limit the amount one can purchase of each item. If you think I am the only one complaining, go to www.lillypulitzer.com and see for your self. Instead of continuing my shopping with other things that I actually needed I left and went home. Thank you for your time.
