I opened a POA account for my sister with Scottrade. At the time, check writing – Rodger O Riney email address

David sent a message to Rodger O. Riney Founder and CEO, Scottrade that said:

I opened a POA account for my sister with Scottrade. At the time, check writing was not available. I provided the original Power of Attorney that allows for check writing etc. I was told check writing would be available and apparently it is now. Corporate has had us sign and notarize the Certificate of Power of Attorney that is a Scottrade form which we have done in order to write checks. Now Scottrade has asked for another corporate document to be signed before they will allow check writing on the account. At Morgan Stanley I only provided the original POA for this ability. I have been in the securities industry as a VP for over 30 years and have never seen this before.
Maybe you can shed some light! Thanks for your help.
