Andrew sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation – email address that said:

I purchased a Toyota vehicle 6 years, based on the belief in the reliable manufacture and ongoing sales and service reputation that Toyota have. Unfortunately my trust in this company has not been supported, owing to poor service and support that I have received since then. My current concern is that of a lack of parts in the UK to rectify problems relating to the DPF filter in the diesel exhaust systems, ongoing faults that are known to be commonplace, yet do not appear to be being managed reliably by the company. Given that it is common knowledge that such parts will need repair and replacement often, why is there then a shortage of parts when this can be planned for in advance?
Whether it is you Akio, that reads this or part of your team I would sincerely like a reply.

ps. I am still waiting after four weeks for this part to be back in stock, and have been advised it will be a further two weeks wait, at which point they still cannot guarantee that they will have it.
