I recently moved from Colorado to Eugene, OR. My experience with the Safeway Store on Coburg Road, here, has been very disappointing. Leaving a complaint through the customer service seems to net no response. This store lacks adequate check out stations. There is never an express lane open for those of us who have few purchases. This evening at 7:30, when I asked the manager where I could check out rapidly melting ice cream, he was rude. This is not the first time. Further, he does not present a professional appearance and always looks dirty. Last week, he surreptitiously nodded to someone he seemed to know, opened a register to check her out, then left the register. Undoubtedly, he is overworked which may account for this. This is a thriving store. Surely more employees could be hired. I never had this problem in Colorado.
