I recently saw a commercial for the Hopper3 on TV and it peaked my curiosity. I decided to check out your website. On the front page I saw list of packages and the Hopper3. I was impressed with your package price points.Next i clicked Explore the first thing I saw was NEW Hopper3 I checked it out and again impressed. I next Clicked Compare I have been a Direct tv customer for 10 years so i stared comparing. The prices were better. I clicked technology Hopper3 Vs Direct Tv. Again Impressed. On Feb. 15th I started singing up but did not finish so I saved info using your save info with your email. Later that night I researched Dish and Hopper3 and Sports.I had never considered leaving Direct TV because I love sports and thought Direct Tv was the best. I Love the Football Package But I saw a ton of great reviews and learned about Sports Bar Mode where you could watch 4 games at once March Madness is coming. I was SOLD. The next day I got a email “Your almost there So I followed the link and finished setting up an account. It was going to be $86.00 and billed later. When I tried to process it failed 3 times and I was asked to call. I spoke to someone who finished my set up I did have to pay $160 this time but I thought it was still worth it. I got a appointment for the next morning to install,
The next day a very nice representative came over an installed my et, It wasnt working that well but he explained it needed to download updates and if it wasnt fine tomorrow to call his office. After he left I started exploring my new DVR only to discover it was NOT Hopper3. I fell like I spent a ton of time and energy with research and negotiation bought a 2017 BMW and after I paid They drove around in my new 2000 BMW and said you didnt say which New BMW you wanted. I called the office and have spoken to a couple people Who tell me I now need to pay another $150. I was so disheartened I asked if I could just cancel the account and was threatened with a cancellation fee. Its now been a couple days my old Hopper still hasnt updated not working properly. I guess as old as it is it has a lot of info to download. It sill has no Icons and not taping more than 2 things a once. But more importantly its not what is advertised on TV or is it the ONLY DVR mentioned on Dish.com I feel like I was baited to Dish with Hopper3 then sent the original Hopper, How can you sign a new 2yr contract and not get new equipment? It its some B.S> credit issue (just refied my 520k home Ive been in 15yrs) then I should have been told I was not a qualified customer but could upgrade for $150. This would have saved us all a lot of time. After visiting your website I had no Idea any other DRV but the Hopper3 was even offered. If I had successfully signed up on internet what DVR would I have received then? After speaking to 6 reps I was finally offer slight bill reduction if I pay the $150 taking my total start up to $310. If I had been told this originally I would have never sighed up.
Is there any alternative? Can You help?
