I saw somewhere that you are 62. I am guessing you would not like an employee in one of your stores calling you elderly.
My husband is 63. He recently called the Cedar Rapids Iowa store (about 20 miles from our home), and asked if they had a Small Mens Rash Guard. The person on the phone said yes, so he drove to the store to pick it up. Our 14 year old son was leaving that afternoon on a trip and need the shirt.
When he got there, he couldnt find any in size small. He asked an assistant manager (possibly manager?) for assistance. She got on her radio and told someone that an elderly man needed assistance in apparel.
Personally I think any employee of a sporting goods store who calls a 63 year old man elderly ought to be fired!
Next, the sales person who originally told him over the phone that they had a small in stock approached and had the nerve to tell him that they sold the last small in the 25 minutes it took him to drive there -- this was a Wednesday early afternoon and the store was virtually dead.
Clearly better training and more accountability is called for.
