I think it is important that you are aware of the issue that transpired with us regarding our Kenmore Refrigerator I purchase in Feb. of 2014. We lost our home in Hurricane Sandy and as a result also lost our Kenmore refrigerator and decided to purchase a Kenmore again due to the success of our first refrigerator. However, in less than 2 years ALL the refrigerator door bins were failing in the SAME spot. Obviously a product defect. My husband called corporate customer service and was treated rudely - quoted 59.96 for each bin and told since it was out of warrantee that there was NOTHING that could be done. I did not accept this so on January 9 I spoke with Agent who was basically saying the same thing...I would not accept this as an answer and he AGREED with me that it was very strange that ALL bins were failing in the SAME spot! I offered to send pictures of how LIGHTLY those bins are loaded! After holding I then could receive a standard10% off and when I said that was still not acceptable all of sudden they could use our "points" for additional money off the bins. Then when I spoke with Michele in part the bins were no longer 59.96 but 29.95. So If my husband had accepted what he was being told we would have had to pay over 230.00 dollars - a quarter of the price of the refrigerator for obviously defective parts! So, now all four bins are coming with me spending way too much of time and still spending $ - all be it...much less....but I clearly feel that if you value customers...repeat customers....we should have been treated better and I should not have had pushed so much to get at least a better price on this defective product....
I thought you should know about this treatment and we obviously are considering of no longer purchasing Kenmore/Sears products...sadly....
