Cheryl Clark sent a message to Brian C. Cornell Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Target Corporation - email address that said:
I would just like for you to be aware of the experience that I had yesterday at your Cedar Falls Iowa store. I had applied for a job and was called on Monday by the HR department (Emily) to come in for an interview on Weds. at 1:00. I arrived promptly at 1:00 and went to the service desk to ask them to page Ben (the Manager I was to have the interview with) and a young man named Travis did just that. I was told to sit in Starbucks and wait for him to come. I waited 30 minutes and no one showed. I got up and left the store. I found this both rude and very unprofessional and if this is how potential employees are treated how bad is it to actually work there. I called the HR dept. immediately to report this and they did not answer their phone for the rest of the day. I was able to talk to Sara this morning, but she really seemed disinterested. I am not asking for anyone to reschedule that interview as I am pretty sure I dont want anything to do with a store that obviously is NOT team oriented or customer focused as advertised.
