Christine Lewandowski sent a message to Mark Bertolini - Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aetna - Email Address that said:
I would like to talk with someone about the doctors coding a routine eye exam and a routine PE as an OV with my having to pay $50 copay. You are providing me these benefits, and I am paying for them, BUT I am not receiving them - even with using the magic word of routine. I have filed a grievance on doc #1 (eye) and doc #2 (PCP) bill is being resubmitted by Aetna. Doc #1 did not do a complete eye exam that you have as one of my benefits. Even tho he is a specialist, I have been told that the routine eye exam should be coded as that and not an OV. I have more info to tell you about this. Doc #2 did NOT give me paperwork on a directive and did not spend 30 minutes talking about it. 2 seconds was spent on this matter. I found out by Aetna that this is why he coded it an OV. This visit is being resubmitted. We are being ripped off. Please, someone call me so I can explain these situations. Thank you. Christine Lewandowski
