Kathleen Clark sent a message to Marc Caira President and CEO, Tim Hortons Inc. - email address that said:
Im a black lady who purchased breakfast sandwiches at the drive thru yesterday. I forgot to ask for jelly so we pulled into parking lot and I ran in to get jelly. The worker told me Theyre 15 cents each. Well I had gone in without my purse, so I couldnt pay for it. The aggravation comes in when my nephew (who is white) volunteered to go in with the 15 cents to get jelly. He was told You can give me 15 cents if you want. She gave him the jelly. This is an example of blatant racism in my view. Ive had issues at this particular location enough to hate going there. The service is slow and generally unfriendly. I like Tim Hortons but cannot bear this type of service any longer without saying something to someone who may be able to help change it.
Thank you for your kind attention.
