IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED
Dear Mr. Sasser,
I have had no success trying to get in contact with your corporate office or local District Office. I was injured at one of your stores and the manager refused to take an incident report. I was treated very poorly. I am a disabled individual in a wheelchair.
I need someone to call me because I have shoulder and neck injuries. I have been in contact with my medical and was advised to ice the shoulder and neck and take Motrin 2 tablets four times a day and if not better in a few days to go to the ER or make an appointment with my primary Doctor.
I am very upset that not one manager from your El Cerrito Office, Vallejo office, or El Sobrante office would call the local District manager to provide him my phone number.
I was ready to call the local media. I have the name of three employees that were more concerned about my injures while the manager on this particular day blamed me for my injuries. She not one time asked me if I were okay or if I were hurt.
I am a long time customer and I have used this restroom four or five times in the past. These area is also a fire exit. I have drawn a picture showing the safety and fire hazard in that area. Since the manager shut the door on me before I could snap pictures to show your corporate office.
I am asking for someone to call me as soon as possible
Sincerely,
Stella

Will never ever shop at Dollar Tree Pinole, CA again.
I was injured 06/04/2016 around 2:30 pm and the manager basically refused to take an incident report after about 20-25 boxes fell on me and some free standing shelves ( that should have been lying down).
I took my wide sized wheel chair down a hallway that is wide enough if there weren't stacks of five high boxes and standing up shelves on both sides of the wall. Might I mention a vaccum and hose covering the stores emergency exit in case of fire or disaster.
I went in perfect and cleared both sides. I noticed the handicap bathroom was broken ( out of order sign posted). So, I used the other stall.
Well, Maneuvering out of the bathroom my back wheel caught the vaccum hose causing it to tumble about 20-25 two pound boxes and som metal shelving to hit my neck and shoulders. I pushed the boxes off best I could. I opened the second door and asked one of the employees to please call the manager to write an incident report.
I have never seen a manager so cruel and callus in my life. Instead, of asking me if ai were okay. She asked me what are you doing back there? ( Really). Not hey how are you? Are you injured?
From there it went even more down hill. As I told her what happened halfway before finishing she opened the door looked at the mess and went in and closed the door. She couldn't let me take pictures to show how everything collapsed on me. Instead, she left me waiting and waiting and never came out.
I called over the employee ( won't mention her name) and she told me. What happened? She told me they told management not to stack the hallway like that, but they don't listen. She is suppose to take a report. I told her again. Well, she went in and never came back. Another young employee had told he I could use the restroom and I've used it in the past about four -five times. The young girl gave me her name and told he I hope you feel better. I told her my neck and shoulder were hurt. I had a basket of three items and I decided to give them to her to put back. I couldn't carry anything or stand in line. Since Sheila ( the manager) didn't come out. I approached an employee at the front. I told her if she could call the manager and she said " I needed her too, but she hasn't come. I told her I was hurt and that she was in the back cleaning it up.
Out comes Sheila and I asked her in font of employees and people in the lines present. If she needed to take an incident report. She said for what? It was your fault . Your wheelchair was to big to be back there. Th handicap bathroom was broken. I told her I was able to use the other stall. She was very rude and condescending . She again told me it wasn't a public bathroom. I told her I asked an employee and I have used it before in the past with no problems. She still refused to make a report. I asked Sheila for her corporate number and she refused to give it to me. I called the El Cerrito Store and I was provided the Corporate number. But of course they were closed over the weekend.
I asked for the he District managers info. But was declined by El Sobrante Asst. manager, Crystal on site manger refused to gave District Manager to call me. I understand she can't give his or her number, but a call back would have been appreciated.
I called customer service, but they were short and told me to call corporate office on Monday.
I am totally frustrated. My neck and shoulder are hurting and I am icing it for now. If it feels worse tomorrow ER here I come. But this is ridiculous to blame the customer for a fire and safety hazard they allowed. Really! ! No empathy, no compassion. She might as well kicked me out the door.
Outrageous!
