RE: Problems with your customer service for account

In April of this year, I was asked by your customer service department if we would care to set up loan payments via auto withdrawal. Someone in your auto bill payment department faxed an authorization form to us, which we promptly filled out, signed and returned.

In May we received a letter stating that there was a problem with account information. We responded immediately and discovered that one of your data entry people added an extra '0' to the end of our account number. We were told that the problem was resolved and in fact your payment was successfully withdrawn from our local account on 19 May 2016.

However, we received a letter from you dated 14 June stating that your Auto Bill Payer system would no longer initiate withdrawals for our payment. We received the letter on 18 June, the date our payment was due. In Fact, I called our local bank today to find that no attempt was made by your bank to withdraw the June payment from our local account.

I am surprised at Fifth Third Bank's reluctance to take our money. After two phone calls, a faxed letter, and one successful auto withdrawal, we are back where we started and now have a late payment. It all seems pretty silly, and unnecessarily time consuming to take care of one simple thing.

I am saddened and frustrated because we are now currently late with our payment as a result of your internal disorganization. I hope for better customer service from your company in future.
Regards,

Pam
