Grace sent a message to W. Craig Jelinek – President and Chief Executive Officer of Costco Wholesale Corporation email address that said:
incident that took place at lakeside Sat. Aug 13th 2016, items bath towels (18) price $4.99.
supervisor, a male, caused a scene at checkout, store was busy, I might add, I bought 18 total, first six rang up correctly, the remaining rang at 6.99, I questioned it, woman called someone to check price, she came back to the assistant supervisor,and confirmed price, 4.99, she said ,okay I will void the sale, give you the 4.99 price, the man came rushing over and started making a big deal, embarrassing me and my daughter, said have to check this out, went over to his computer, came back and stopped the asst. supervisor, said wait have to check one more thing, ran back over to his computer, in the meantime there is a line behind me, people are looking, I am uncomfortable, at this point,he comes back and says you only get six, at 4.99. I said your sign is misleading, I never saw the six, these towels were for my two grandsons for college, my daughter said ring them separate, he told me they put a block on my card and it won't let it go thru. at this point, I said just ring the towels (12) at 6.99. he walked away very smugly with a grin on his face. have been a member for many years, in the last 26 days I have spent $1,538.08 with you, this was over 24.00.
I don't recall this supervisor name, this took place around 4:30 PM. needless to say, in all my years at Costco I have never been treated this way,
