Intel Corporation

Dear Brian:

Intel used to be a looked at as an industry leader and huge growth story. Investors expected advances in processor technology and the thirst for faster devices to drive Intel's profits for years to come. However, the last few years have made investors worry that Intel has lost its way. With slowing PC demand and soft results, Intel was being questioned left and right about its strategy.

As you know sometimes the advances in technology creep along and sometimes there are huge leaps in the components that go together to make up the computers we use. I am sure you are aware that we are at one of those points now as there will be a convergence in advances in the speed of memory, the advances in video (both video cards and displays) ssd speeds, processors (finally 10nm ICE LAKE and TIGER LAKE, and importantly mother board that lets all of these components communicate at the speeds they are capable of and use much less power than anything in the past.

I believe, however, that too much emphasis has been placed just on the hardware and not WHAT CAN BE DONE with all the potential new computing power. That is why the media is so enthralled by smart phones and so much coverage and the sales have been pushed to “social media.”

I also believe there is a huge potential market for Intel in desktop and laptop sales that are being ignored because so much attention has been focused simply on “social media” aspects of technology.

What I propose is that Intel start looking at how people will be able to use the power of these technological advances for productivity in their lives rather than just tweeting and texting and looking at Facebook. This would put the emphasis back on the technology as a tool for getting things done and I believe drive sales as people realize the potential of the technological advances and what it can do for them. Instead of upgrading because Microsoft or Intel wants them to upgrade so they can increase sales it would become apparent that customers and businesses should upgrade because it can greatly improve their productivity.

I propose that I be given a chance to work with Intel to coordinate efforts to work with partners to develop software that can take advantage of the new components and with technology partners such as NVIDIA and AMD so that when these products come to market there is new complimentary software that makes the hardware something consumers see as adding value to their lives.

I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss my skills and thisproposal. If you have questions or would like to schedule an interview, please contact me by phone at [phone number] or by e-mail at [e-mail address].. I look forward to hearing from you regarding my proposal.

Sincerely,

John
