David Henry sent a message to Samuel R Allen that said:
Mr. Allen,
I recently applied to your company for a small amount of credit to purchase a New John Deer Riding Lawnmower for our new ranch. I do have a Chapter 7 on my credit due to being ill at the end of 2015 and having to close my business. We are trying to rebuild our credit. The USDA was kind enough to listen and understand and allowed us to finance our new ranch. I have always wanted a John Deere rider and my father in law was a loyal John Deere owner all of his life. He is passed but I would like to take the baton and continue the loyalty. I was denied credit even though my credit score is 700? I am 56 years old, have financed 25 cars, 3 homes etc. with great credit. I was told it was because of the Bankruptcy. I asked do you even care why it happened or do you just cast the declined net and put me in with the Credit Criminals. I have the money to buy the rider with cash but thought if I can get approved for a 400k home, I surely can get approved for a $1500 riding lawn mower. I guess I was wrong. I see this is a lost sale for John Deere as well as future sales when my neighbors see me on a Kobota or other brand rider. Very disappointed.
