I am writing this brief message because in my opinion nothing beats a failure but a try. I live in Huntsville, Ala., recently, our store was demolished and relocated for whatever reason. Unfortunately, the closest location is too far away unless I want to make the travel turn into a day trip and I dont. I get angered seeing advertisements about sales and I am not able to partake. I am a Northerner and we tend to speak up much more and a lot sooner than southerners. I say that to say this, everyone I know that enjoyed shopping at JC Penneys is crying the blues because our store is gone and the closest isnt really close at all. However, no one wants to take the initiative and ask questions as to why or even try to come up with a solution that would benefitting both sides (yours and ours of course). This is where I come in. Keep in mind my motto is, Nothing beats a failure but a try. My suggestion is this, a local warehouse where orders can be made, merchandise can be picked up and or returned a clearance section would be nice too. Hours from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Saturday 9am-12pm. This warehouse wouldnt require many employees, maybe 4-6 stock workers, 3-4 customer service representatives (cashiers) and maybe 2 managers. Start off small and watch how it progresses. I know this venture will bring in lost revenue if that was the problem to begin with. The people of Huntsville, Ala. will appreciate being able to shop at JC Penneys again. One more very important point I need to make, this Northerner doesnt just flap her jaw, I offer my service to manage the JC Penney satellite location. I am saving my message along with the date so if by chance this suggestion comes to fruition I want to be able to toot my horn, not loud but just enough. Please contact me with either a hey or a heck no. Thank you, S. Baker.
