I am a native of Chicago, IL and now reside in Jackson, MS. In 1989, I attended Jackson State University. At the end of my freshmen year in college, I met my husband now of 25 years at a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Jackson, MS in May 1990. It was the most peculiar circumstances. I was going through the drive-through with my girlfriends while my husband was inside at the counter with his cousin who was ordering food. We locked eyes and I motioned for my husband to come outside to our car. I never got out of the car, but talked with him through the window of the back seat. We went on our first date and now we are 25 years later with a beautiful family that consists of two adult daughters, one college graduate and the other a senior in college. My husband and I have chosen to renew our vows on December 7, 2019 and will mention that KFC is what brought us together. Thank you for being an important element of a true love story.
