Rita Nwaigwe née Igue sent a message to Rodney McMullen that said:

Dear Rodney,

My name is Rita, a Nigerian, employed in an IT firm.

I am an HR professional. My journey as an HR professional started from working as a casual staff (after doing odd jobs for 2 years) after my graduation, getting a sudden opportunity as an HR Assistant working as a Contract Staff, and then getting retained as a Full-Time Employee (in same IT firm) which I currently work.

In my 8 years of working as an HR professional, I have always had a dream of being a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) via World at Work (https://www.worldatwork.org/certification/certified-compensation-professional-ccp/). All my efforts to achieve this dream have proved abortive as this course is quite expensive and offers no scholarship. I am required to take about 10 courses and each course costing $1495 (members) & $2200 (non-members). I am not financially capable of taking this course on my own despite being employed.

Even though I am a certified HR professional in my country, taking this course would help me advance in my HR career (by helping me specialize in compensation). My practice in HR has seen me doing virtually everything but specializing in compensation will help me focus, providing me an avenue to use my knowledge to shape the future of compensation across the globe. The world of work has changed so also several other elements including compensation.

Also, I will equally fulfill my life long dream of becoming a Compensation Expert.

This message is a long shot, but I appeal for scholarship consideration to help me fulfill this dream.

I do not mind sending across any further information to prove I am not a fraudulent or an insincere person.

Thank you and kind regards,
Rita
