First I love your store but I am contacting you due to a problem at your pharmacy at 1800 Republic Drive, Virginia Beach, VA
I think you should be aware of what took place. I am a lupus patient and have been on hydroxychloroquine for over ten years. It has saved my life and saved my kidneys. This would not be a time to have kidney failure. I normally get a three month supply but was denied my full prescribed script. The pharmacist said no one was going to hoard the drug and I could only get a 45 day supply .I was shocked, Hoard ? This is my normal script. Also if I have to do monthly instead of 90 day, it will cost me more. Is Kroger (hoarding the drug) sounds ridiculous doesn't it? But it gets worse. After several days on this script Iwas having problems that could only come from this drug. So on April 9th,2020 before I bought my groceries, I went to talk to the pharmacist. I asked if she would check to see if the lot number showed there had been a recall on this drug, expired or anyone else report a problem. She said the drug is good a year from the script date. No I said ,all drugs have an actual expiration date. She said she could not check the lot number didn't know where she'd even look for it .Once the drug is gone its gone. What ? NO ! Again if I had received a three month supply and it was recalled next month how would she know who to notify? She then tells me I CAN BUY A NEW SCRIPT if I feel the one I already bought is out of date. Wow! I can pay again for a drug your company can't tell me if is in code or been recalled. NO! I love shopping at Kroger but I cant afford to buy two scripts for same dates. All I wanted was date of expiration and or lot number, I'd look it up myself. I know there must be logs of dates of drugs , and /lot number. Kroger probably also tracks additional info such as price paid etc. I'm asking you to look into this. The fact she would not provide a lot number or the manufacturers date of expiration really worries me. Am I taking an expired drug? Can you please look into the way your store is treating lupus patients and the mis information at this pharmacy . I've never had a problem before. Thank You and God Bless You.
