I would first like to compliment the overall quality of your Harris Teeter stores. I'm a big fan of Kroger as well, especially the store in Washington Township MI.

My wife and I are both in the Hospitality business, restaurants, country clubs and hotels.

We are generally very happy with product and services at Harris Teeter stores. We shop at the one in Gaithersburg and Olney MD.

My situation involved the Gaithersburg store. Mid week I ordered 4 8OZ Filets at the butcher department. I ordered them because the ones in the display case were all irregular and most importantly small sized. The staff person obtained a Tenderloin out of the walk-in and cut four filets. When I arrived home I was surprised to see 4 Fliets cut like 8OZ steaks with one being the fat end of the tender.

I called the store and Don the Manager was quick to receive my comments. Without delay and he said they would be replaced and I could pick them up the following day. I picked them up yesterday and to my disappointment, they were exactly as poorly cut as the first batch. I would appreciate it if I could send a picture that I took of the filets.

My son had a cooking exam for college and he made Filet Au Poive. Unfortunately, finding a nice one was difficult.

This store needs a better Butcher.

Thought I might pass it along. I would want to know.
