Dr. Valerie Biscardi sent a message to Saun Bruce W Van Chief Executive Officer, Citizens Bank RBS Citizens Email Address that said:
Last year I cancelled my business checking and loan accounts with Citizens Bank because of poor service. Since then Citizens has accepted EFT deposits into the closed account and now informs me that Im being charged service and overdraft fees because the account was automatically re-opened due to the EFTs. I was also told that this is the policy of all banks. When I checked with my present bank I learned this is not the case and that they DO NOT accept deposits into a closed account. Could you please intervene to make sure the fees are removed and that my account is permanently closed. I also suggest this policy be changed so that this does not happen to other customers in the future.
