Mr. McCormick on September 18, 2015 I ordered a Nor-easter Gore-Tex Long Men\'s Coat from L.L.Bean. I was told by Customer Service that the coat was on back order. Unfortunately I did not keep a log of the times I\'ve called (numerous) or the people I spoke with. I didn\'t think at the time it was necessary. I have been given several dates as to when the item would arrive. Just recently I called last week, either November 12th or 13th, and was told that the coat was in. I asked the associate when I could expect delivery and was told that I could expect it either Wednesday the 18th or Thursday the 19th. I received an email late Nov. 14th stating that the item was still on back order! I called L.L. Bean yesterday, November 15th, and this time I took note of the people I spoke to. Both Robin H. and Cathy (5022) told me that the coat would not be delivered as expected. Needless to say I cancelled the order at that time. This experience has taught me one thing and that is to make sure I get the dates, times, names , titles, and id numbers of the people I speak to. I have bought numerous items on line and have been completely satisfied with the items and the customer service. Unfortunately this experience has completely soured my opinion. I don\'t know what you can do but I hope something can be done so that future customers won\'t experience this.
