I'm a 23-year loyal Macy's customer whose account was very recently closed due to inactivity. I've recently updated my address on this account at which time, I wasn't notified of a pending closing of my account. If during that contact point, I had been notified of this action, I would have placed an online order at that time.
I learned of the account closure when I attempted to place an online order last night, beginning my holiday shopping with Macy's and I was extremely disappointed.
I've never felt so dismissed as I was earlier today when I was discussing this issue and requesting a reinstatement of my account.
Customer service had me on the phone for 45 minutes and the only thing I was offered was to apply for a new account.
I'm reaching out to you for a reinstatement of my account with my 23 year history intact.
