We purchased a gold chain on 2/14/2020 and the clasp is defective, we went to the store at Rolling Oaks Mall in San Antonio, TX to see about getting the item replaced since it is within 30 days (receipt number 709-0024-4029). we talked the associate and she call the manager on duty (took about 20 minutes for the manager to get to us) her name is Andrea and she said that there was nothing they could do other that sell us a warranty or send it off to be fixed and they would not even know the cost till they look at it and sent an estimate back. we spend thousands of dollars each year at Macys and would think they could make an exception for a great customer but I guess there really is no customer service any long since the store said it policy and we can not break policy.
