Madam: On Saturday, October 8, 2016, my daughter and I were shopping at Ross, located on – Barbara Rentler email address

Helen sent a message to Barbara Rentler – Chief Executive Officer of Ross Stores – Email Address that said:

Madam:

On Saturday, October 8, 2016, my daughter and I were shopping at Ross, located on the corner of National and Sepulveda, Los Angeles, CA 90034. As we were leaving the store, approximately 10:00, an older woman using a walker and with two Ross bags approached a person at the checkout and asked if she would call her a cab. This person refused and told her they were not allowed to use the phone for outside calls.

Considering the circumstances of this lady I felt it was inappropriate to refuse her request. Shameful.

We offered this lady a ride to her residence which happened to be a board and care facility not far from the store. She indicated she had taken a cab to the store.

As a side note, as we were about to leave, several of the young employees gathered outside the store to essentially "high five" one another. Their language was inappropriate as well.

Thank you,

Helen
